It all started in the summer of 1971, when founder Kevin Koenig had $1,500, an MBA from Florida Atlantic University, and a mission: open his first waterbed store. That humble beginning became Waterbed City — and the rest is history. More than 50 years later, we've grown into the #1 furniture retailer in our market, with over 30 CITY HOME and Ashley HomeStore locations across Florida. Greenest Fleet
CITY is proud to say that, for the eleventh straight year, we have been recognized as one of the top 50 greenest fleets in America! As the 24th greenest fleet in America, 2nd greenest private fleet in America, and #1 greenest retail furniture fleet in America, we’re living our 2040 Green Promise.
Our compressed Natural Gas (CNG) trucks allow us to get the job done while taking care of the environment around us. We are proud to be ranked amongst some impressive organizations such as the Air Force, City of NYPD, and Waste Management. As one of only two private fleets on the list, it is clear that our Green Promise guides us in making the right decisions for our associates, our customers, and our local community. Up next – Tesla’s electric trucks. With our first order already placed, we’re excited to add these to our fleet.
